1. Fill in the supplementary plate form on this page with your registration, owner and vehicle details.
2. Place your order for the Safelite Panel with Supplementary Plate.
3. We lodge your supplementary plate application with Licensys, the authorised NZ number plate supplier, using the details from your form.
4. Licensys manufactures and ships the plate to us.
5. We fit your plate to the pre-drilled mounting holes on your Safelite panel and check everything over.
6. Your fully assembled, road-legal Safelite bike rack light bar is dispatched to your door.

Prefer to handle the plate yourself? You can also order the Safelite Panel on its own and apply directly at consumer.licensys.co.nz, then bolt the plate onto the pre-drilled mounting holes when it arrives.

The vehicle must be currently registered and licensed, and the applicant details must match the person (or company) registered as the legal owner of the vehicle.

Supplementary plate terms and requirements

These criteria are set by Licensys and apply to every supplementary plate issued in New Zealand. Please make sure you can meet them before ordering this option:

• The vehicle must be currently registered and licensed.
• The applicant must be the person (or company) registered in respect of the vehicle. We can only order a plate in the name of the registered owner.
• The supplementary plate and the vehicle number plates must display the same registration number.
• The supplementary plate does not replace the need for the vehicle's registration number plates. Supplementary plates are to be used temporarily whilst an attachment, such as a bike rack, obscures the vehicle's number plate.

Good to know about your plate

• The supplementary plate is supplied in the size 300 mm x 114 mm, which is different to the size of the standard vehicle plate. The pre-drilled mounting holes on your Safelite panel are sized to suit.
• Your details (including driver licence number and date of birth) are used solely to lodge the supplementary plate application with Licensys and are handled in line with our privacy policy.
